1. About Padre

Padre is a Christian men's coaching app operated by Paxborne Digital Ltd, a company registered in the United Kingdom. By using Padre, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the app.

2. Free tier, trial and subscriptions

Free tier

Padre is free to use. For as long as you have an account, the free tier includes the daily verse, the Examen, up to three habits and up to three questions a day to Padre. If we ever reduce what the free tier includes, we will tell you in the app before the change.

Free trial

When you finish setting up Padre you get seven days of Padre Pro free. No payment details are needed to start it, and nothing is charged when it ends: unless you choose to subscribe, your account simply moves to the free tier and keeps everything you have logged.

Padre Pro

Padre Pro is a subscription, monthly or yearly. In the iOS and Android apps it is sold through the App Store or Google Play, at the price shown there in your currency before you confirm, and that store's terms also apply to your purchase.

Automatic renewal

Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each month or year until you cancel. For App Store purchases, payment is charged to your Apple ID when you confirm, and the subscription renews unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.

How to cancel

• Bought on our website: in Padre, go to Settings → Manage subscription.
• Bought in the iOS app: on your iPhone, go to Settings → your name → Subscriptions.
• Bought in the Android app: in the Google Play Store, go to Payments and subscriptions → Subscriptions.

When you cancel, Padre Pro continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Your account then moves to the free tier and your data is kept until you delete it.

Your right to cancel within 14 days

If you are a consumer in the UK or the EU and you subscribe on our website, you may cancel within 14 days of the purchase and receive a refund. Because Padre Pro starts straight away at your request, we may deduct an amount in proportion to the time you used it before cancelling. To use this right, email hello@usepadre.com or cancel in Settings and tell us. Purchases made through the App Store or Google Play are refunded under Apple's or Google's refund policies.

Price changes and failed payments

We may change our prices. We will tell active subscribers at least 30 days before a new price applies to them, and you can cancel before it takes effect. If a renewal payment fails, we (or the store) will retry it for a period and you keep access meanwhile; if it still fails, the subscription ends and your account moves to the free tier.

3. Use of the Service

Padre is intended for adult users (18+). You agree to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes only.

Padre is a coaching and guidance tool. It is not a substitute for medical advice, professional counselling, pastoral care, or the sacraments of the Church. Always consult a qualified professional for health, medical, legal, or financial matters.

The AI coaching features are provided for general guidance only. Training advice in the app is not tailored medical advice — consult a doctor before beginning any exercise programme if you have existing health conditions.

4. Your Account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account and password. Notify us immediately at hello@usepadre.com if you believe your account has been compromised.

We reserve the right to terminate accounts that violate these terms or misuse the service.

5. Intellectual Property

All content in the Padre app — including the AI coaching system, app design, copy, and features — is the property of Padre. You may not reproduce, distribute, or commercialise any part of the service without written permission.

6. Affiliate Links

Padre may earn a commission on purchases made through affiliate links in the app. These links are clearly disclosed and do not affect the price you pay. We only recommend products we genuinely stand behind.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Padre is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app.

8. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
